West Hills Imaging Center has been servicing patients since 1993. It opened as one of the first open MRI facilities in the Western Pennsylvania region.
Leadership and innovation were augmented with a professional staff of radiologists, technologists and office personnel dedicated to providing the ultimate in image quality and patient care.
In 2003, the facility more than doubled its size to accommodate the most advanced medical imaging equipment. West Hills Imaging Center became the first outpatient center in the area under one roof to offer:
Our state of the art equipment offers faster scanning times with leading edge technology that produces immediate imaging results. You will be treated by the same dedicated, experienced and caring professional staff that is committed to providing you with the highest quality of patient care.
Our equipment has the gold seal of approval from the American College of Radiology. The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety.
It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report they can use for continuous practice improvement.
The ACR is a national professional organization serving more than 36,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
